Luscinia Choir

The International Women’s Choir of The Hague

Luscinia is an open and friendly women’s choir made up of people who share a love of singing.

Our numbers are relatively small (around 15 members), but our backgrounds are quite varied nonetheless: we have members from Holland, Italy, England, USA, Mexico, France, Indonesia, and Canada; our Director is Dutch and our pianist is Italian. Members vary in age from 21 to… well, somewhere in the region of 50. We rehearse on Thursday nights from 7:45 pm until 9:45 pm.

Interested? We are a small choir, so we always welcome new voices. If you would like to come along to listen and try us out, please contact us!

Ready for Rik’s first gig

Yes, we’re ready for our first concert with Rik at the helm. We’ll be singing at Zorggoep Bosch en Duin in Scheveningen on May 24th. Really looking forward to it. We are going to give our audience a night to remember with great music.

Yes, we do like to give everyone a chance to be on time. Therefore we have changed our rehearsal time slightly and start at 7:45 pm in stead of 7:30 pm.

Are you a soprano?

Can you reach those glass-shattering high notes? Then we’d love to hear from you! Our talented sopranos are putting up a good fight, but they are sorely outnumbered… Get in touch with us and come and have a sing: we keep adding fun new songs to our repertoire like Fever and Bridge Over Troubled Water.

A Quirky quarter of an hour

What a fantastic performance at the Eat to Meet Valantine’s dinner at the Quirky Cafe. With our piano being wheeled in the front door only 10 minutes before our concert, the audience was pleasantly surprised and impressed. Lots of singing along from the loving and enthusiastic but rowdy crowd made it a memorable ‘quirky’ quarter of an hour.
